NYS Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act

Imagine it… is proud to be one of the first electronics recycling facilities in New York State to officially register with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation as a consolidation  facility under the Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act! The New York State Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act was signed into law in May of 2010 by Governor Patterson. The law requires manufacturers of electronic equipment to accept electronic waste for collection, handling, recycling or reuse beginning April 1, 2011. Some of the gadgets that Imagine It… collects fall under this new legislation including “small electronic equipment” such as portable digital music players, video recorders, and video game consoles.
