For the second year in a row, we bring our recycling program to you through the wonderful Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. Imagine it… is scouting for food, clothing, and electronics! Simply fill the bag with used ink cartridges, cell phones, electronics or other things we recycle, we’ll do the rest! Click here to download a printable flyer.
Imagine it… Fundraising through Recycling is proud to participate in the 24th annual Scouting for Food and Clothing collection drive with the Boy Scouts of America. A bag for electronics and ink will be included in addition to bags for food and clothing. Distribution by the scouts to residential areas begins on Saturday, March 17th, 2012. All donations should be collected by Saturday, March 24th, 2012. The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts organize and participate in this event each year to collect donations for local charities.
This is the second year that local business, Imagine it… is participating in the event. The green bags labeled Imagine it… are designated for recyclable e-waste. This includes ink, toner, cell phones, PDA’s, music devices, GPS systems, digital cameras, camcorders, laptops, USB memory cards and more. Simply fill the bag with your donations and place it outside in a visible place on the designated pick up day by 9:00AM. All electronics donations will be recycled or re-manufactured, benefiting the Boy Scouts and local charities.
If the bags are not delivered in your neighborhood, you can still donate! Please visit any participating Wegmans Food Market or one of Imagine it’s… other recycling bin locations. Other community members who are unable to take part in the bag collection on March 24th can still drop off their filled bags at Scouting for Food and Clothing collection bins located in the ten Goodwill stores between Sunday, March 25th and Sunday, April 1st 2012. This program benefits local schools and charities, supports local business, helps protect the environment and promotes community service and charity within the Boy and Girl Scouts of America.
